Fourth Italy-Türkiye Intergovernmental Summit Rome, 29 April 2025: The Prime Minister of Italy, the Honourable Giorgia Meloni, today hosted the fourth Italy–Türkiye Intergovernmental Summit at the historic Villa Doria Pamphilj in Rome. The high-level summit brought together senior representatives of both governments to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation across a range of strategic sectors. Following the plenary session, a formal signing ceremony for bilateral agreements took place. Subsequently, Prime Minister Meloni and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressed members of the press during a joint press conference. Speaking on the occasion, President Erdoğan remarked: “We will continue to strengthen our defence industry cooperation, which has covered significant distance, with Italy through new partnerships and projects.” |
