Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah Visits Poonch to Assess Situation Following Cross-Border Shelling Poonch, 12 May 2025: The Honourable Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, arrived in Poonch early this morning to take stock of the situation in the wake of the recent cross-border shelling. During his visit, the Chief Minister expressed his deep concern for the safety and security of the people in the region. In a statement made on Twitter, Shri Omar Abdullah said, “Ensuring the safety and well-being of our people remains our top priority.” The Chief Minister was accompanied by senior officials from both the civil and security administration, who are working together to monitor the situation and provide immediate assistance to affected communities. The Government remains fully committed to safeguarding the lives and welfare of its citizens, prioritising their security and ensuring effective relief measures in response to the crisis. |
