Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha Pays Homage to BSF Braveheart Constable Deepak Chingakham Jammu, 12 May 2025: The Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, today paid heartfelt homage to Constable Deepak Chingakham of the Border Security Force (BSF), who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Constable Chingakham was critically injured during unprovoked firing by Pakistan on 10th May 2025 along the International Boundary in the R.S Pura area of Jammu. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries on 11th May 2025. The Lieutenant Governor expressed his tribute on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating: “I salute the brave son of Mother India, BSF’s Constable Deepak Chingakham, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. We share the grief of the family and stand in solidarity.” The Lieutenant Governor further assured the nation that the sacrifice of Constable Chingakham will forever be remembered, and his unwavering dedication to the protection of the motherland will continue to inspire all. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir stands united in grief with the family of Constable Deepak Chingakham, offering full support to them during this most difficult time. |
