EAM Jaishankar Meets Japanese Speaker Fukushiro Nukaga in Delhi New Delhi, 5 May 2025: The Minister of External Affairs of India, Shri S. Jaishankar, met today with Mr Fukushiro Nukaga, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, during the latter's visit to New Delhi. Speaker Nukaga was accompanied by a delegation of parliamentary colleagues and members of the Japanese business community. During the meeting, Shri Jaishankar conveyed his appreciation for Japan’s expression of solidarity and support following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, underscoring the importance of shared democratic values and mutual support in times of adversity. The two leaders held constructive discussions and agreed on the importance of advancing the bilateral agenda by increasing talent exchanges, strengthening business linkages, and building robust partnerships in technology and innovation. The engagement reflects the continued momentum in India-Japan relations, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to deepening strategic and economic cooperation. |
