"The Scale of Destruction is Heartbreaking", Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah Visits Shelling-Affected Areas of Tangdhar, Kupwara




Kupwara, 13 May 2025: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, today visited the areas of Tangdhar, Kupwara, to assess the situation in the aftermath of the recent shelling that has severely affected the region. During his visit, the Chief Minister witnessed the extensive destruction, with homes and vehicles left charred by the impact of the shelling.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Shri Omar Abdullah expressed his deep sympathy and solidarity with the affected families. He wrote:
"The scale of destruction is heartbreaking. Standing with the affected families in this hour of grief. We will do everything possible to support them and help rebuild what has been lost."

The Chief Minister’s visit underscores the government's commitment to providing both immediate relief and long-term assistance to those affected by the shelling. Plans are already underway to assess the full extent of the damage, with efforts focused on rebuilding the community and restoring normalcy.
