CEC Tashi Gyalson Chairs Review Meeting for Unveiling Ceremony of Kuchok Bakula Rinpoche Shradhanjali Park at Spituk, Leh




Leh, 1 May 2025: The Hon’ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, today chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the Council Secretariat to oversee preparations for the forthcoming unveiling ceremony of the Kuchok Bakula Rinpoche Shradhanjali Park, scheduled to take place at Spituk, Leh.

The meeting was convened in the presence of the Hon’ble Executive Councillor, Mr Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, and brought together representatives from various line departments, community bodies, and engineering wings of Leh district.

The high-level discussion centred around ensuring meticulous arrangements for the ceremony, including sanitation, refreshments, public address system, stage and seating configuration, scheduling of the programme, and formal invitations to dignitaries.

It was informed during the meeting that the Hon’ble Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, will grace the occasion as Chief Guest and will formally inaugurate the Shradhanjali Park on 19th May 2025.

CEC Tashi Gyalson directed all concerned officials and departments to complete preparations well ahead of schedule and underscored the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure the event is conducted with due solemnity and precision. He further announced that he, along with senior district officers, would undertake a site inspection in the coming days to monitor the final stages of preparation.

The meeting was attended by the President of the All Ladakh Gonpa Association (ALGA); Vice President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA); Executive Engineers from multiple engineering wings; Deputy Secretary of the Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (LAACL), Leh; departmental officials; and local representatives from Spituk village.
